WindMil utilizes color to enhance the analysis of the various studies being performed. Users can select the display mode and modify the color settings and criteria for colorization. Graphics can easily be printed to any Windows® supported output device. In addition to the graphical display, tabular reports are available for display or print.

WindMil's Circuit Element editors provide simplified yet powerful editing of circuit element properties, connectivity and associated equipment data.

While WindMil is designed to operate with maximum efficiency in the modeling and analysis of radial electrical systems, it can also accurately model and analyze looped systems.

WindMil features a direct interface to LightTable for Protective Device Coordination. This allows the engineer to assign a LightTable curve to each device modeled in WindMil and to select a series of devices to display with automatic shifting for any number of inline transformers. No additional modeling is required. The LightTable interface works directly from existing WindMil and LightTable databases without the need to create or define an intermediate database.

In addition, WindMil works with LightTable to automate the coordination of all fuses and reclosers in the system. Based on user-defined rules, WindMil uses LightTable's device library to shift and move the curves as needed, in order to calculate the coordination points for Fuse-Fuse, Fuse-Recloser and Recloser-Recloser coordination.

WindMil also allows GIS produced graphic files to be displayed behind the WindMil engineering model. With LandBase, graphical backgrounds from any of the following formats may be displayed: AutoCAD® DWG, AutoCAD DXF, MicroStation® DGN, ESRI® Shape Files, TIFF and Bitmaps. All formats are connected directly without the need to convert or import. Any number of different layers may be connected to create a composite view.
