Spectrum Illumination

ImageBacklights and Monster Backlights
Spectrum Illumination Standard Series Back Lights are designed to create high contrast silhouettes for Machine Vision Applications. Standard Series Back Lights can also be used to create front lighting in cases where minimal lighting is needed. All Spectrum Illumination Series Back Lights are built using Modular Board Technology (MBT).

ImageDiffused Axial Lights

Spectrum Illumination Monster Diffused Axial Lights are the brightest on axis lights in the Machine Vision Lighting Market. Monster Diffused Axial Lights leverage our Monster LED's to provide the most light possible for high speed image acquisition. Diffused Axial lights are used to create even lighting on shiny and uneven surfaces. Diffused Axial lights are built using a beam splitter to reflect the diffused light onto the field of view. The reflected light from the area of interest is then able to pass through the beam splitter into the camera lens. Because the light is on the same axis as the camera and is diffused, the image from a shiny or uneven surface will not have any hot spots or shadows.

ImageDome Lights

Spectrum Illumination Monster Series Dome Lights are the largest standard product dome lights in the Machine Vision Lighting Market. We have standard sizes up to 29.25" (743mm) diameter. Monster Dome Lights leverage our Monster LED's to provide the most light possible for your image acquisition needs. Dome Lights are used to create even lighting on shiny or uneven surfaces.

ImageLinear Lights

Spectrum Illumination Monster Series Linear Lights are used for both bright field and dark field illumination. Monster Series Linear Lights are built using Modular Board Technology (MBT). The reason that MBT is important is that when the boards are assembled in the housing, the LED spacing is the same on a single board as it is from board to board. The result of MBT is even illumination over the length of the light (connecting lights together create dead spots between lights because LED spacing is not observed).

ImageOxy Lights

Spectrum Illumination Series Oxy Lights are used in applications requiring highly diffused illumination. The Oxy Light name was formed because the light is flat but mimics a dome light and because a flat dome is an oxymoron, hence the name Oxy Light. The light was designed to be used on applications that are shiny or uneven (will not work on mirrored surfaces), almost like a dome light would.

ImageRing Lights

Spectrum Illumination Monster Series Ring Lights are used primarily for bright field illumination. The RL2.5 model can also be used as a spot light for both bright field and dark field applications. The Monster series Ring Light was designed to be used for applications requiring a large area of coverage and/or a long working distance. Typically they are used in applications that need a lot of light and can be mounted 12” (304.8mm) to 20’ (6096mm) from the desired area of interest.

ImageSpot Lights

Spectrum Illumination Monster Series Spot Lights are used for both bright field and dark field illumination. The Monster Series Spot Light was designed to be used for applications requiring a large area of coverage and/or a long working distance. Typically, they are used in applications that need a lot of light and can be mounted 12" (304.8mm) to 20' (6,096mm) from the desired area of interest.

ImageTri-Pod Lights

The Tripod's unique triangular design makes it possible for the end user to configure the lights to meet their specific needs. Each Tripod Module incorporates the latest high output LED technology available including our internal Micro Driver with burst. The Tripod Modules can be used separately as a spot light or they can be used together to create single, double or multiple row linear lights. They can also be used to create large area lights, ring lights or rectangular ring lights. If the end user needs a light in the shape of an "L", "U" or "S", that is no problem for the Tripod. Every Tripod Module can be configured as the Master or Slave. Up to 50 modules can be run on a master. The end user can decide if all of the modules need to be strobed together or separately.

ImageWashdown

Spectrum Illumination has the most extensive line of Wash Down FDA compliant IP68 rated lights in the Machine Vision Light Industry. Every Wash Down Series Light that we build is designed using FDA compliant white delrin and/or 316 stainless steel for the enclosures. The Wash Down Series Lights use only FDA compliant silicone rubber or white nitril for gaskets. Every fastener used to assemble our Wash Down Series Lights are 316 stainless steel to meet FDA requirements. The lights are laser etched with the proper part identification at our facility. Laser etching is essential because a label or screen printing would facilitate bacteria. All Wash Down Lights are then hydrotested to ensure they meet IP68 standards. Wash Down Series Lights are available in various configurations that include Linear Lights, Spot Lights, Ring Lights and Back Lights. If you are in need of a FDA compliant IP68 rated light for Machine Vision, Spectrum is the answer.

ImageControllers

Spectrum Illumination lighting controllers are simply the most advanced machine vision lighting controllers on the market today.  Several different application specific models are available.  Spectrum Illumination Monster Brain controllers are Ethernet based and can control a number of digital, analog and stobe control functions.  Please ask your Cybergear Representative for details.
