Who We Are

Founded by engineers with a passion for productivity, Cybergear helps manufacturers improve their operations with hardware, software, training, and best practices. Based in Michigan, Cybergear partners with GE Digital and QSSI to offer services throughout the globe. For decades, we have served clients in the food and beverage, automotive, chemical, medical, and military-aerospace industries.

Because our mission is to help our clients improve, we treat your capital as if it were our own. By combining lean and factory physics concepts with digital manufacturing, we help manufacturers remain adaptable in a constantly changing industry by increasing quality, efficiency, and ultimately—profits.

Leadership

Dave Mills

Dave is one the founders of Cybergear and is currently serving as Managing Partner in charge of technology and business relationships. Dave has a passion for his customers’ success which has driven his continuing education and search for new technologies and manufacturing methods to help his customers. He focuses on increasing throughput and on-time in-full deliveries (OTIF), while reducing costs and assisting with New Product Introductions (NPI) for his customers.

Prior to Cybergear Dave was the founder of Prime Automation Supply. Prime was a wholesale automation equipment supplier. Prime was sold to Standard Electric in a 1995 stock sale.

Dave served on the Board of Directors for RF IDentics before its sale to Avery Dennison.

Dave earned a Masters Degree in Lean Manufacturing Operations from Kettering University School of Engineering and an undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in engineering from Michigan State University.

In Dave’s free time he loves to spend time with his family and hunt and fish.

Chris Mills

As Managing Partner for over 17 years, Chris focuses on marketing, sales and principle/partnership development. In his work, he places a passionate emphasis on providing lean manufacturing solutions to customers’ production processes and is Cybergear’s GE Digital Account Manager for both General Motors and Ford Motor Company. He also focuses on Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive Suppliers & OEM’s

Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial marketing from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business Administration. With over 30 years of experience in the food and beverage and automotive industries—including the big three and tier one suppliers—he brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.

When Chris is not at his desk or on the road, you can find him on the golf course or spending time with his family.
